Happy New Year Rappahannock County (Madison & Culpeper too)!
There is good news for solar this year, as the 30% federal tax credit has been extended through 2022. If you are interested in solar energy, we are your local installer! Contact us any time for free advice, information, and quotes. As prices drop, more and more homeowners are investing in solar, to secure their energy rates and make a long-term investment. One interesting note from 2015 was that solar homeowners that decided to sell their homes (in the Mid-Atlantic, not just California) typically recouped the cost of the solar array in the sale price, securing their investment even after selling their home.

We hope everyone had a wonderful time over the holidays, and wish you the best in 2016!

Great question!
The business does not have to be in any particular district, or even in a commercially zoned area. However, most home-based businesses will not qualify, unless there is a separate electricity meter for the business. The issue they have had in the past is that systems get installed that really just benefit the home/homeowner, and don't provide 100% of the benefit to the small business.

Hey Everyone!
We are looking for a couple of small local businesses that are interested in getting solar. There is a competitive grant opportunity put forth by the USDA which encourages rural businesses to secure their energy needs. If awarded, the USDA will give a 25% cash grant to the business. In addition, businesses are eligible for accelerated depreciation of a solar system, as well as a 30% tax credit. The short-version, is that if you win the grant, the deal should be a home-run for your business. We are willing to write the grant application for free, on behalf of your business. We just finished a successful round of grant writing in October, and would like to get a couple of interested parties for the next deadline in the spring. There is no obligation, we just ask that you own a business, are interested in solar, and have a place to put panels!

If you are interested, please contact us through our website (www.virtuesolar.com), on here, or call us at (540) 407-8353.

Thanks, and have a great day!
